Some fans are amazing. Chris from Chicago went out of his way to find our latest CD right when it was released and had zero luck with iTunes.

Thanks to the folks at Utah’s ELS Productions, we’re offering the most unusual CD format we’ve ever seen. The new limited-edition There Is No Sin CD was our first offering with this super-granola packing.
No plastic is used on the inside. The packages are lighter and ship cleaner. The entire thing is recyclable and mostly made of recycled material (except for a tiny foam dot). Of course, the CD can’t be recycled…but why would you want to do that?
For this limited edition edition, we’re wrapping these puppies in a black envelope with custom labeling on the outside. Very handmade. Impress your friends.

Some interviews are painfully unnecessary, while others are utterly self-serving. This one avoids both of these issues but veers toward the obtuse. You be the judge. Our good friend Margaret Lyons tried to keep a straight face with There Is No Sin in My Body’s Troy Keiper.

After years of migrating between indie rock bands and solo acoustic projects, There Is No Sin’s Troy Keiper spent 2008 recording a number of late-night studio sessions in four different locations. Lyrically, it seems like a concept album. Each song seems tied together by the unfashioned performances, many of which captured first takes.
Like vignettes, these songs often clock in at punk rock lengths; telling abstract parts of a story in two minutes. Listeners have likened it to the Mountain Goats and Bright Eyes, but we feel that the graphic sadness of these songs and their unusual structures makes them a completely different beast.

Our online store for direct media and merchandise is ready. Good news: the digital download of the new There Is No Sin in My Body CD is coming out on May 2nd. And the bad news? The pressing of the CD has been delayed by two few weeks until May 19th because of artwork issues with the printing.
Of course, we’ll continue with iTunes and other distribution, but since the new digital special edition copy is free, why would you venture off?
There will be two brand new tracks going up on There Is No Sin’s MySpace page next week. If you’d like to receive email updates on the CD as well as a ridiculous offer on the special edition retail CD, join our mailing list.
The new TINSIMB CD will be available in early April, but for band updates and a free MP3, go to the band’s official site.
Also, we’ll be running an ad campaign in April to promote the release. Add your name to our mailing list if you’d like win something of amazingly useless value. Exactly what, we have no idea yet, but trust us…it will be useless.
It came out of a late-night conversation about making music videos. The idea was that some of the tracks from the upcoming There Is No Sin in My Body CD would fit scenes from movies that we know.
So, here’s the challenge. If you’re a filmmaker, write us. We’re really considering offering free synchronization and master use licensing for a project. Just for the damn fun of it.
