Our Packages Are 100% Green!
We need to brag a little bit. As we were preparing reviewer copies this week, we got a few compliments from our volunteers. They loved the packaging!
For the release of the new There Is No Sin CD, we have three goals: unique, beautiful and Earth-friendly. Over-packaging runs rampant in the record industry. And, since the book and CD combo were so unusual, we wanted to use only alternative packing materials.
The result: 100% recycled and recyclable products from a variety of manufacturers. Even a 100% recycled protective bubblewrap alternative. It works like a charm!
Why even the book and CD package are made out of some recycled paper and plastic. The small amount of shrinkwrap? Recycled! Still, after all of this work, we still have two big strikes against us:
- You can’t recycle the shrinkwrap easily.
- The CD tray in the Digipak contains a small amount of recycled plastic and it isn’t coded for recycling.
We tried though.
